Context: On January 8, 2025, the Union Home Minister inaugurated the BHARATPOL portal.

About: BHARATPOL is designed to improve India's engagement with global policing through the CBI, which acts as the National Central Bureau (NCB) for INTERPOL in India.

The portal consists of five key modules:

Connect: Facilitates coordination between Indian law enforcement agencies and INTERPOL's NCB-New Delhi.

INTERPOL Notices: Enables swift identification of criminals both within India and globally.

References: Simplifies international requests for assistance in criminal investigations.

Broadcast: Ensures prompt availability of assistance requests from 195 countries.
