Why in news?
The Indian Airforce(IAF) isallsetto hostit’slargest multilateral exercise,TarangShakti in two phases in August and September.
AboutTarangShakti:
✓It will be the biggest multi-nation air exercise to be conducted on Indian soil.
✓It will involve fighter jets, transport aircraft, helicopters, mid-airrefuellers, airborne warning andcontrol system (AWACS) aircraft, and unmanned systems.
✓Focus on improving interoperability, imbibing best practices from one another and boosting military cooperation among the participating countries.
✓largestinternational air exercise ever conducted in India with invitation extended to51 countries.
✓First phase of 'TarangShakti' will be held atSulurin Tamil Nadu from August 6-14, and the second phase from August 29-September 14 at Rajasthan'sJodhpur.
✓Highlight our resolve towardsAtmanirbharta
Adefenceexpositionhas also been planned as part of the exercise.
There will be participation from the DRDO,defencePSUs, aviation industry, CSR labs, and top-notch startups.
