- Two Indian Navy women officers,Lt Cdr Roopa A and Lt Cdr Dilna K,will embark on a globe-circumnavigating expedition known asNavika Sagar Parikrama II, onboardINSV Tarini.
- Women Navy officers are being guided byCdr Abhilash Tomy (Retd.), a renowned circumnavigator andGolden Globe Racehero.
- Golden Globe Race is a prestigioussolo sailing competitionto circumnavigate the globewithout stoppingand using onlytraditionalnavigation methods.
- In theNavika Sagar Parikramalogo, theoctagonal shapein the center depicts theIndian Navy, while thesunsignifies acelestial bodyand thecompass, guiding the sailors through the challenging seas.

- A trans-oceanic voyage fromGoa to Rio de Janeiro via Cape Townand back.
- A sailing expedition fromGoa to Sri Vijaya Puram(formerly Port Blair) and back.
- A sortie fromGoa to Port Louis, Mauritius.
AboutINS Tarini
- The Indian Naval Sailing Vessel (INSV) Tarini is the second sailboat of the Indian Navy after INSV Mhedi.
- It was constructed at Aquarius Shipyard located in Goa.
- After undergoing extensive sea trials, she was commissioned to Indian Navy service on 18 February 2017.
- It is known for circumnavigating the globe with an all-women officer crew in the historic expedition titled 'Navika Sagar Parikrama' in 2017.
