Nepal handed over itsInstrument of Ratification to the ISA in New Delhi.

The International Solar Alliance (ISA) is an intergovernmental organization that was launched in 2015, by thePrime Ministerof India and the President ofFrance, at theUnited NationsClimate Change Conference held in Paris
- ISA is anaction-oriented, member-driven, collaborative platformfor increased deployment of solar energy technologies.
- The ISA is guided by its‘Towards 1000’ strategy,which aims:
- To mobilizeUSD 1000 billion of investmentsin solar energy solutions by 2030
- To deliverenergy access to 1000 million peopleusing clean energy solutions
- To install1000 GW of solar energycapacity
- To mitigate global solar emissions to the tune of1000 million tonnes of CO2every year
- Vision:Let us together make the sun brighter.
- Mission:Every home, no matter how far away, will have a light at home.
