Place: Bombay session of All India Congress committee.
Launched by: Mahatma Gandhi.
ØOver 1,00,000 people were arrested, killed and publicly flogged.
Yusuf Mehrally, a congressman, presented Gandhiji with a bow which had ‘Quit India’ inscribed on it which then became the slogan.
