Scheduled Drugs:

They are categorized into schedules (I, II, III, IV, and V) based on their medical use, potential for abuse, and likelihood of dependence.

Schedule I: High potential for abuse, no accepted medical use (e.g., heroin, LSD, marijuana).

Schedule II: High potential for abuse, accepted medical use with severe restrictions (e.g., oxycodone, morphine, cocaine).

Schedule III: Moderate to low potential for abuse, accepted medical use (e.g., codeine, anabolic steroids).

Schedule IV: Low potential for abuse, accepted medical use (e.g., Xanax, Valium).
