The Bill seeks to reserve ( 1/3rd )( 33 percentage) one-third of the total number of seats in Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies for women

Commencement of Reservation

After the Census & Delimitation that is conducted after the passage of the bill

Duration of Reservation: 15 Years & As determined by a law made by Parliament.

Rotation of Seats: After each delimitation, as determined by a law made by Parliament.

Constitutional Amendment :

Should be passed in Both the houses separately- No Joint sitting

Requires 2/3rd majority of present and voting of the houses and

. Half the majority of Total Membership of the Houses.
