ITU's Regional Standardization Forum for Asia & Oceania region to begin in New Delhi

International Telecommunication Union’s Regional Standardization Forum for Asia and Oceania region will begin in New Delhi today.

Theme of the Forum is'Regulatory and Policy aspects of Telecommunications'.

The Regional Standardization Forum is a platform for constructive exchange of ideas, discussing standardization topics in various sectors of technology and the Role of ITU Standards, Harnessing Technologies for Digital and Financial Inclusion in Emerging Markets, Evolving Data Value Chain and Digital Health.

International Telecommunication Union(ITU):

The ITU is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for many matters related to information and communication technologies.

It was established on 17 May 1865 as the International Telegraph Union, making it the oldest UN agency.
