National Health Authority (NHA) has announced performance based fund allocation to States and Union Territories for strengthening the registries of healthcare professionals and health facilities.
This performance based fund allocation will help in structured implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission was launched in August 2020 on the pilot basis. The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) aims to develop the backbone necessary to support the integrated digital health infrastructure of the country.
It will bridge the existing gap amongst different stakeholders of Healthcare ecosystem through digital highways.
The benefits include Improvement in the efficiency and transparency of healthcare data transfer between patients, medical institutions and healthcare service providers. Patients can securely store all their medical information and documents within the ABDM infrastructure.
